The Ibero-American and international mechanical engineering community is invited to submit their research papers for presentation at the XVII Ibero-American Congress of Mechanical Engineering. This conference will be an excellent opportunity to share your findings and research advances and connect with other experts from the Ibero-American community.
General rules
The Organizing Committee of the 17th Ibero-American Congress of Mechanical Engineering invites authors to submit research papers on any of the topics covered by the congress (see below) in either of its official languages: Spanish and Portuguese. In this edition, papers written in English will also be accepted. Presentations may be given in any of the three languages.
Papers must be original, meaning they must not have been previously published, nor be under consideration for publication in another conference or journal.
First, a summary of the work will be sent following the guidelines described below. The Scientific Committee will evaluate the summaries in order of arrival and will inform the authors of the result.
The authors of accepted papers must subsequently submit the full article or presentation for review by the scientific committee.
Finally, accepted papers must be presented at the conference by one of the authors.
Publication in proceedings and journals
All submitted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Additionally:
- A selection of papers will be published, in an English-language version, by Springer Publishing.
- A selection of papers will be recommended for publication by the Ibero-American Journal of Mechanical Engineering.
- A selection of papers (in English) will be recommended for publication inMDPI's Engineering Proceedings journal (indexed in Scopus).
- A selection of papers (in English) will be recommended for publication of extended versions in a special issue of the journal Mechanics of Advanced Materials and Structures by Taylor & Francis (indexed in Scopus).
- A selection of papers will be recommended for submission as extended versions to Elsevier’s *Mechanism and Machine Theory* (indexed in Scopus) and will undergo the journal’s standard peer-review process.
- More publishing options will be released later.
Authors may indicate their preference for any of the additional publication options; however, the decision will be made by the Scientific Committee.

- Submission of full papers: June 15, 2026, to July 15,2026
- Final acceptance of papers (full paper): July 15, 2026 to August 30, 2026
- Deadline for submission of full papers: September 15,2026
- Submission deadline: October 10, 2026
