Awards and honors are presented to students, professors, professionals, and institutions in the field of mechanical engineering who have distinguished themselves through a track record of excellence in their respective fields in Ibero-America.
1. Awards and Honors Established:
1.1 FEIBIM/FEIBEM Award for the Best Bachelor’s or Master’s Thesis
It will be awarded twice a year to graduates who apply, in accordance with the guidelines approved by the Executive Committee.

1.2 FEIBIM/FEIBEM Award for the Best Doctoral Dissertation
It will be awarded every two years to doctoral candidates who apply, in accordance with the guidelines approved by the Executive Committee.

1.3 Distinguished Figure in Mechanical Engineering from the Host Country
The award will be presented biennially to individuals from the academic or professional spheres who have distinguished themselves through exceptional dedication to teaching, research, or professional practice in any branch of mechanical engineering and who have carried out the majority of their work in the country hosting the conference. Candidates may be nominated on their own initiative, upon the recommendation of the conference’s Organizing Committee, or upon the recommendation of a full member of the Federation.
1.4 Distinguished Figure in Ibero-American Mechanical Engineering
It will be awarded biennially to individuals from the academic or professional spheres who have distinguished themselves through an exceptional dedication to teaching, research, or professional practice in any branch of mechanical engineering and who have carried out their work primarily in one of the countries of the Ibero-American region.Candidates may be nominated on their own initiative, upon recommendation by the Federation’s Executive Committee, the Congress Organizing Committee, or upon recommendation by a corporate member of the Federation.
1.5 Francisco Alba Juez Award
An academic, educational, or research book in the field of mechanical engineering.
